ARJANNA VAN DER PLAS
HOW I BECAME A WOMAN
During the LOVE session, Arjanna shares how life forced her to embrace her femininity, and change her unconscious belief that success can only be achieved through what could be described as stereotypical masculine behavior.
In a world where women in leadership positions often mimic masculine behavior in order to be successful, she invites us to reflect on our own perspective on feminine and masculine energy.
How are the masculine and the feminine balanced in you? Where are you honoring that balance in the way you work, love and live? Where are you betraying yourself in order to fit in, or be successful?
ABOUT ARJANNA
Arjanna is a Zurich-based life & business coach, TEDx speaker, and founder of the WOMEN’S HUB Zurich.
Trained as an engineer at the Delft University of Technology (NL), she held an unconscious belief that she had to develop a masculine leadership style in order to be successful. She learned how to dominate discussions, show off her intelligence, and laugh really loud at her own jokes (she admits she still does that;)). Initially, this led to a successful career trajectory - and also to what her doctor called a ‘bore-out’, a complete mismatch between her values and her job.
This experience kickstarted a reflection process that ultimately led her to do a professional coaching training, so she could use her feminine super powers to support other women in finding their path.
